- it is raining and margot has not seen the sun
- they put margot in a closet because they do not want margot to see the sun
- they have not seen the sun for seven years and since it is always raining so all life is dead
- they forgot to unlock the closet for margot to see the sun
- they unlock the closet and feel so bad for margot
