Jasmin Reyes- The Battle with Grendel's Mother & The battle with the Dragon
Storyboard Text
- VICTORY!
- Beowulf ventures through her cave under the deep sea. The final moments of Beowulf defeating Grendel's mother was a fierce combat to accomplish Since she is stronger than him. He decides to defeat her with an ancient sword connected to the giants from the lair. Having the sword by him side gave him more confidence that resulted in her sliced up into two halves.
- After the victory of Beowulf defeating Grendel's mother, Beowulf decides to take Grendel's head so he can avenge it as a trophy. Beowulf swims back to the surface and proceeds with the Danes to Heorot, where he presents the head to Hrothgar. This symbolizing that Beowulf has proof in showing that he is really dead and not a lie that he's a hero after all.
- I shall leave it all up to you now Wiglaf. Tell my warriors to build a great burial mound on the cliffs that stick out into the sea.
- Of course. You will always be our hero Beowulf.
- Beowulf decides to face between the dragon once in for all. Wiglaf one of Beowulf's warriors is the only one to risk his life enough to help out Beowulf battle against the dragon. Wiglaf manages to find a way for the dragon to stop breathing fire and for Beowulf to have the opportunity to striking it down together.
- Beowulf strikes the dragon in the head with his great sword but the sword snaps and breaks. The dragon lands a bit on Beowulf's neck and blood begins to flow. Beowulf realizes that the dragon bite is venomous and that he is dying. He sends Wiglaf to inspect the dragon's treasure.
- Beowulf senses his own death approaching when the poisonous wound from the dragon bites him right on the neck. Beowulf tells Wiglaf that he must now look over the Geats and build him a barrow called "Beowulf's Barrow" to remember him by. It furiously kills him while Wiglaf is by his side. Beowulf was a brave, fearless, and courageous warrior ever to encounter battles that no one could overcome.
- Overall, Beowulf will always be remembered for being a hero just like he wanted for his warriors and especially to Wiglaf. His enlightenment as a warrior showed a perspective upon Wiglaf to be the greatest he can be. Beowulf's life was a conception of heroism and how inspiring he became from not backing down from his feats of battles. Even till death, he was a hero from showing dignity when it came to the dangerous dragon that his own warriors ran from.
