  • Stamp Act
  • I don't make the rules sir, blame the King not me. I just bring the product

  • Here's the deal, we'll repeal the Stamp Act, but we have the right to tax you the same as Britain back home, and also limit your representation in Parliament

  • This isn't fair, you can't just tax us on necessities that we can ONLY GET FROM YOU

  • The Stamp Act was the first act imposed on the colonists by the Mother Country of Britain. This issued a tax on all paper documents in the colonies, this was highly controversial as it impacted much of product price.
  • Quartering Act
  • Declaratory Acts made the colonists become dependent on the king for their rule. This act resulted in the repeal of the unpopular stamp act, the impact this act had on the colonists was taken lighter by the colonists but still made them angered as it made the laws passed in the colonies obsolete and was directly ruled by Great Britain.
  • Intolerable Acts
  • But how can I pay if I can't trade through port, this is my job!
  • The Boston Port is closed, dock your ship or be arrested. That tea throwing shenanigan was the worst idea ever, now you barbarians owe us 92,000 pounds
  • The Townshend Revenue Act inflicted taxes on products that the British Parliament knew the colonists couldn't make themselves, these products would be materials like paint, glass, paper, lead, or tea.

  • The highly controversial Quartering Act imposed by Britain allowed for British troops in the colonies to live and shelter themselves in colonist homes, regardless of the privacy or ownership of the house by the colonist.

  • The Intolerable acts were four major laws imposed by Britain, these acts would be the Boston Port Bill which closed off the Boston harbor due to the famous Boston Tea Party. The Massachusetts Government Act replaced local elections with a royally appointed governor. The Administrative of Justice act which allowed British officials charged with a capital crime to be charged in Britain. And last, the Quartering act which expanded to include housing of soldiers in public places.
