Owen comes home from school and says hello to his sister and goes to get a snack while the customers are complaining about how slow the laundromat is compared to others and treating Marjorie poorly.
Saubertucks 5 Start Spa and Yoga classes starting soon!
Well, I just don't know. I will have to talk to my dad.
I will make you a deal. You can have bedrooms in my shop, and jobs that I pay you a good amount for, if you give me your laundromat to turn into my spa.
In this scene, Marjorie hears a noise in the middle of the night and gets scared so she goes down to see what the noise is to protect her family. She then meets Wendell the ghost, who is the second main character in this book.
Okay.
Honey I think you are just going to have to take the offer.
In this scene, we find out Mr. S is a very unkind person. He switches the detergent with red dye in the middle of the night. Wendell comes to help with laundry in the middle of the night and uses the detergent, which ruins a very important dress.
Yep!
Wow that's a lot of detergent!!!
In this scene, Mr. Saubertucks comes into the shop and gives Marjorie a deal. The deal is if she gives him her shop to make his yoga and spa shop, then her family will have their own bedrooms in his shop, plus they can work there and they will get paid well. He then puts flyers out the next day.
Saubertucksfive star yoga!
In this scene, Marjorie explains the offer to her dad. Her dad says to just accept it because, he doesn't want her working in the shop by herself anymore because she is being treated poorly and it's too much stress on a 13 year old.
In this scene, Wendell gets her ghost friends to help Marjorie get detergent from the store, and help convince Mr. Saubertuck to give her a second chance to keep her laundromat running again!!
