- Sparta developed an oligarchy which is where 2 kings rule the city.
- A huge road that spread throughout Persia that made trade much easier. Now onto chapter 3.
- One of the huge reasons Rome was so successful because of its incredibly powerful military. A republic is where the people in power are chosen by the people .
- Judaism differs from christianity by believing to live by every rule in the bible and be as holy as possible. Julius Caesar was a leader of rome and the ides of march was the day that Caesar was stabbed to death by his trusted friends and workers.
- The Pax Romana was period of peace that made christianity extremely easy to spread. The romans roads helped the spread of christianity by making it easy to spread quickly.
- Constantine was a general of Rome that revolutionized religious rights. Where earlier emperors believed that you must follow their religions. Constantine wanted religious freedom for all. Now on to chapter 4.
- The golden age of islam is a period of time where science and the economy boomed in islamic society. Onto Chapter 5!
- Muhammad was a religious leader that was supposedly sent from god as a prophet. The core tenants of Islam are believing there is only one god, you must pray 5 times a day, you should donate to those in need,
- The feudal system was a system that had people ranked on status, from top to bottom it was kings, nobles, knights, and then peasants.
- You fast during ramadan, if your wealth permits it you must travel to the city of Mecca at least one.
