- Percy Jackson, Grover, and Mr. Brunner are at Yancy Academy. Mr. Brunner is Percy’s favorite teacher. He is the Latin teacher. Percy and Grover are best friends.
- Climax
- Percy overhears Grover and Mr. Brunner talking about him and something about how he needs to be protected.
- Falling Action
- On a field trip to a museum, Mrs. Dodds, the math teacher, turns into a weird creature. She attacks Percy. Mr. Brunner Tosses Percy a ballpoint pen that turned into a sword to fight back.
- Resolution
- Percy gets sent to a summer camp that his father told his mom about before he left. Percy figures out he is a half-blood or demigod. Half god, half kid. Mr. Brunner is one of the leaders at the camp and he is a centaur. Half horse, half man. He is really called Chiron. He is claimed by the god, Poseidon after he fell in the creek and gained special powers in the water. He is sent on a mission to retrieve Zeus’ lightning bolt with his friends. He went with Grover and a girl named Annabeth.
- Percy goes all around the world. He faces challenges with many other gods and creatures.
- Percy retrieves the bolt and returns it to the gods.
