- It was a fine evening when Michael came back to home from school.
- Hi Mom, how are you? Today our teacher thought us about the ozone layer, because tomorrow is the Ozone Day.
- Yes mom sure! The World Ozone Day is celebrated for the Ozone layer preservation. It occurs annually on 16th September worldwide since 1995. Numerous programs and activities are organized in schools and several institutions to spread awareness about the depletion of the Ozone layer.
- WOW that's great but do you know why they celebrate ozone day???
- Thank you Mom! I also wanted you to know how the ozone layer helps us and how it is getting depleted.

- The sun releases UV rays (ultraviolet rays ) which is harmful to the human body and can cause various diseases, but the humans are not getting affected by the UV rays because the ozone layer is acting like a shield and protecting us from the harmful rays, but in return we are polluting our planet by releasing harmful gases into the atmosphere which causes the ozone layer to deplete. if we continue doing this soon the ozone layer will start to deplete completely and the world will start to get affected by the UV rays which will cause cancer and dangerous. diseases
- WOW you have did a wonderful job, it is true we should not release harmful gases in the air. instead use electric vehicles.
