- COME HOME NOW. ITS LATE!
- I hate him!
- Theresa is extremely attracted to the city lights and and social life. Every night she's persuaded by this boy, Connie, to spend time out late at night.
- CONNIE!!!
- German Immigrant, Rogaum, runs a butcher shop and disapproves of his daughter's late night antics. Every night he disciplines Connie but she continues to arrive later and later.
- Rogaum no longer tolerated arrival past curfew, so he decided to lock Connie out the house to teach her a lesson. She would soon realize that challenging the rules and obedience of her father seeking freedom led her to the dangers of city life. So she decided to wonder off.
- Once Rogaum realized Connie ran off instead of staying on the porch, he began to get worried and went after her. But his search ended with unsatisfactory. He began to realize his attempt of teaching his daughter a lesson lead to him feeling more pain than her.
- Once Rogaum arrived back to his house with the fear of his daughter in trouble, he located a young female lying on his porch. He realized she drunk acid in order to commit suicide so he contacted the police. When the police arrived, they reveal to Rogaum she too was locked out of her parents house.
- Rogaum soon got a call from the police station confirming Connie's safety. He arrived at the station and greeted her happiness instead of disappointment while she was upset herself. This heart-dropping experience is a life lesson that both Rogaum and Connie learned from.
