- The frank family went into hiding in a secret annex in the upper-back portion of Otto's business.
- Anne Frank was born on June12 1929 in Frankfurt Germany.
- Anne's parents, Otto and Edith Frank were suspicious about the letter Margot had received a letter about the labour camp and decided to go into hiding the next day in order to avoid persecution.
- Frank family went into hiding in an attic apartment behind Otto Frank’s business. They were eventually joined by Otto Frank’s business associate and his wife and son, as well as a dentist, all of whom were Jewish.
- In 1933 Otto Frank and Edith Frank decided to move to Amsterdamdue to the economic crisis, Hitler’s rise to power and the growing anti-Semitism in the country.
- Miep Gies, Johannes Kleiman, Bep Voskuijl and Victor Kugler kept the company running. And more importantly: they took care of the people hiding in the Secret Annex.
