Pandora

Pandora was the first human woman, created by Hephaestus, on the instruction of Zeus. Zeus blessed her with the gift of curiosity, She was also gifted a tightly sealed box and instructed to never open it.

Zeus then sent her to epimetheus, and he made pandora his wife.

Pandora's mind always thought about the box. What was in it that nobody could see? Her strong curiosity became hard to bare, and eventually it was all she could think about.

As she cried, Pandora heard a noise coming from inside of the box. She opened the lid another time and a light emerged. It was hope. As Pandora watched her float up, following the bad spirits, she knew that hope would keep them in control. She had hope. (literally)

Terrible creatures, spirits of hate, envy, war and destruction came flying out from the box, swirling in a cloud around her. They came out and escaped into the world.

One day she couldn't take it anymore. When Epimetheus was asleep, she went to the box. She told herself if she had one look, she could ease her curiosity forever. At the first crack of the lid, the box burst open.
