- Linda, I need your help! My credit score is keeping me from applying for an auto loan. How can I improve it?
- I'll help you Tom! one way of improving your credit score is take out some credit building loans which are small loans that you pay back on time to build your credit.
- Okay! That sounds helpful. I'm not the best at paying my bills and other payments on time but this is a good place to start!
- Correct Tom! Another way to improve your credit score is to pay your bills on time. sometimes online banking apps allow you to set up an auto pay system where every month the payment comes straight from your account and you won't have to worry about it.
- That sounds very convenient! I know that my bank has an app so I will talk with them and try to get that all set up.
- Well thank you for all your help Linda! I am going to improve my credit score!
- The last piece of advice that I will give you is to ask for higher credit limits. This increases your credit limit while your balance stays the same which ultimately lowers your credit utilization and may help lower interest in the long run as well!
