- Bruno comes home one day and notices the family maid is packing up his things because they're moving to "Out-With"
- I don't want to move to "Out-With."
- While searching for Shmuel's father, Bruno and Shmuel were stuck in the middle of the crowd and were forced to march into the gas chamber
- One day, as Bruno is exploring, he found a boy on the other side of the fence named Shmuel.
- Hello, I'm Bruno!
- I'm Shmuel...
- Bruno's father sent men to search for Bruno, but all they could find was a pile of Bruno's clothes outside the fence.
- The two boys became friends with each other and Bruno would often bring food for Shmuel because he noticed that Shmuel looked quite skinny.
- Hey.. I brought you some snacks.
- Thank you.
- I haven't seen my dad anywhere in the camp...
