- A very long time ago earth had a lot more water than it has today.
- Many living organisms including fish live in the vast oceans
- Once they die they pile up at the bottom.
- Sand starts to pile over them. This weight turns them into sedimentary rocks.

- Because of the weight of the mud and the heat of the earth those rocks turned into oil.
- The oil starts escaping through pours but sometimes is left below.
