- Galileo must appear before the holy office to begin trial for beliefs against the catholic church that have been deemed heretical

- Galileo was driven by his great scientific curiosity and looked into the idea that the earth rotated around the sun and that the earth wasn't the center of the universe.

- You have been deemed a heretic your work has been deemed heretical and you are sentenced to life under house arrest!
- Galileo tried to spread his ideas to the people and most didn't understand anything he was saying except that he was against the church. The church told people that his ideas were against Christianity and that his ideas were of the devil.
- The church had the message spread that Galileo was to appear before the holy court and was being tried for heresy against the church and Christianity.
- Whoops
- Oh no! Galileo was right
- Galileo was deemed a heretic and all his work was deemed heretical. Galileo was then sentenced to life under house arrest.
- Galileo stayed under house arrest until the end of his life. All just for his beliefs against the catholic church.
- A while after Galileo's death the Catholic Church acknowledged that Galileo was right and that he was falsely imprisoned for life.
