- It's a shame we have to leave, If only father hadn't lost his job and this stupid potato famine hadn't happened.

- Alright, tomorrow we should start work on our house and farm, and probably continue to do so for the next few months .
- It's a good thing that our moderate wealth allowed us to get a decent ship.

- ...All I'm saying is that if we had a responsible government, and a lack of the Family Compact, we'd be golden.
- ...and why did they change the name of the colonies to Canada East and Canada West, if it's now one colony, shouldn't just be called Canada?

- I just finished building the Inn, now we should be able to have a suitable life here in Canada
