- The novel's plot revolves around a family known as the Whites, which includes Mr. and Mrs. Whites as well as their son, Herbet. Morris, the sergeant-major, later came to their house. Furthermore, they started to have little chats about the monkey paw, because the monkey paw is magical, along with its three granted wishes. Because of the harm the monkey's paw caused you and your wishes, the sergeant major set it on fire, but Mr. White ran after it and took it. Overcome with laughter, the son joked around and wished for 200 pounds. But anyway, it did happen. After all, the son died while trapped in a machine. So the representative offended the whites. 200 pounds for their son's death. and the story ends without resolution.
