- I won.
- The War of 1812 Ends
- I want to have peace in the nation. Let’s stop fighting.
- The Year Without Summer
- It is very cold and I have no food.
- News of the signing of the Treaty of Ghent, which ended the war, had not yet reached New Orleans. The battle continued on and ended on January 26, 1815. The American victory made Andrew Jackson a national hero.
- Panic of 1819
- The economy has collapsed and we are in a panic!
- On February 18, 1815, the president of the United States, James Madison, ratified the Treaty of Ghent. This caused the War of 1812 to come to an official end.
- Election of 1820
- I have won fair and square!
- 1916 is known as the Year Without Summer because a volcanic winter occurred. Temperatures dipped 0.4-0.7 degrees celsius. This caused major food shortages in the Northern hemisphere.
- Election of 1824
- Victory!
- This marked the first financial crisis in the United States. It was caused by the several years that America was at war in other nations. The collapse in the economy ended up lasting until 1821.
- Democratic Republican James Monroe swept up the title of President. He had almost no opposition and won all but one electoral vote. He also won every state.
- The Election of 1820 is considered to be extremely rigged. Essentially all the votes went to Andrew Jackson, yet Henry Clay (who ran for the presidential position) cheated the system and this allowed John Quincy Adams to win. This caused outrage amongst the American people.
