- "My dear Telemachus , help me arrange the axes as your dear father used to do all those years ago.
- ¨ The young prince was fired up by is fathers famous bow and the desire to prove himself a worthy son.¨
- Antinous stepped forward eagerly, sure to succeed unwilling to accept defeat,he asked for grease and warmed the bow in the fire he tried again it would still not bend.
- "I hope know one will object if I try the bow myself." Odysseus said," I had a bow just like this one." "Insolent fool" replied Eurymachus angrily. "We should have fed your old carcass to the dogs yesterday."
- Odysseus walked up to the mark and picked up the great bow. The suitors watched him and laughed. He tested the bow in his hands and took his time, until it began to feel like an extension of his arms and hands then at last he was satisfied and struck the bow in the axes.
- "There was stunned silence in the hall all eyes were one Odysseus he seized the bow and arrows and killed them all with his son Telemachus on his side."
