- Hello, my name is Geroge Washington and I have come back from the dead to see how United State's government is running.
- As I was leaving office in 1796, I reminded the citizens and political leaders to stay together and to not create parties.
- Obviously, the political leaders decided not to read my Farewell Address when I learned they made parties anyway. Today, I've decided to take a look at the current parties.
- Washington's Farewell Addressthe will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction
- This is where I clearly state that forming party allegiances is unacceptable in the United States.
- In my opinion, political parties can tear our country apart and make us divided.
- Because of political parties, leaders and citizens can take sides during a on-going war.
- As you can see, political parties lead to arguments overour government.
