As Parvana reached the marketplace, the first thing she bought was the nan. After the nan was ready, she decided to go to the fruit and vegetables stand.
Your not afraid right, Parvana? Fetch the water, girl!
We're out of water and too afraid to go out. That's why it smells like this...
Before she had time to make her selection, a Talib was glaring at her. The soldier asked and hit Parvana... Parvana ran as fast as she could.
That's enough water, thank you Parvana.
As she ran along the marketplace anxiously, she bumped into Mrs. Weera and her granddaughter. Mrs. Weera was mother's friend. Parvana told everything to Mrs. Weera and they both went home together.
I guess we'll have to think of something esle.
...
...
As they entered the house, Nooria was relieved to see Mrs. Weera: she could take a little responsibility off of Nooria's shoulders. Mrs. Weera quickly smelt something off. As soon as she found the source of that stench, she asked Parvana to fetch the water.
While Parvana fetched the water, Mrs. Weera got mother cleaned up. And when Parvana was done, mother looked neater... yet she was still tired.
Night came by fast, Mrs. Weera and her granddaughter were going to stay over for the night. As Parvana drifted of to slumber, she heard mother, Nooria and Mrs. Weera quietly talking. They were planning something.
