  • Elisha is at the synogogue doing his nightly prayers when a guant, shadowy fellow, dressed in shabby black clothes approached him with a look in his eyes that was not of this world.
  • Elisha

  • The Beggar invokes Elisha with fear and has the urge to do something for him. The sygongue is empty and it is midnight, the hour when the dead rise up from their graves to say their prayers.
  • Beggars are often the Angel of Death or Prophet Elijah in disguise, to offer the reward of eternal life to those who treat him well, I must be kind to him
