- Miranda decides to go to Ferdinand while he is working and request he takes a break. Ferdinand refuses but Miranda somehow gets him to stop and talk with her.

- Once Miranda and Ferdinand get to talking, Ferdinand ask for Miranda's name; she complies and tell him, even thought she was not supposed to. They admit that their feeling towards each other and Miranda is crying of happiness. Shortly after Miranda proposes. Prospero "overhearing" all of this is essentially happy because of this.

- On the other side of the island, Caliban, Trinculo and Stephano plan to assassinate Prospero for their own benefit. Ariel, overhearing this mutters to herself but is overheard by Caliban and Stephano, who think it was Trinculo. Trinculo lands up be beaten up by the other two men because if this. But things go smoothly and eventually they come to terms again and the plan still stays.
