- Substrate: the ingredients represent the substrate because they are being changed to make a cake
- Enzyme: the oven represents the enzyme because it is cooking (changing) the ingredients (substrate)
- Enzyme-Substrate Complex: The oven and the cake represent the Enzyme-Substrate Complex because the cake is in the oven making them one
- Active site: the bottom of the pan that the cake is baking in represents the active site because it's where the most action (cooking) is
- Product: the baked cake represents the product because it is done being changed by the enzyme (cooked in the oven)
