Once upon a time a mirror slurped up me and my brother, and magically transported us inside Snow White's fairy tale. Then we stopped Snow White from eating the poisoned apple. Hooray! Or not. If Snow White doesn't die, she won't meet her prince or get her happy ending. Oops. Now it's up to us to fix Snow White's story. And then, fingers crossed, find our way home.

- But the mirror is hissing.
- We are at the school playground. We are playing tag and I'm it. I'm the new kid. How'd that happen? I close my eyes to give them a five second head start. I see Penny right away because she is wearing an orange sweatshirt. I say she is it but she says she's frozen. My eyes start to tear up. I say I quit and that I am tired. I walk away as she says crybaby. I ask if I can go to the library but she says the media room. I went in and see a book on fairy tales. I feel better.
