- Lesego has 5 sweets. She wants to share them equally between her 5 friends. How many sweets does each friend get?

- Let's work out the problem together
- we have 5 friends and 5 sweets, so we want to share these sweets amongst these 5 friends
- we are going to go outside for a practical activity
- we are done distributing sweets equally among 5 friends, we can see that each child got 1 sweet
- we then give each child a sweet
- Now, let's draw our 5 friends
- sometimes when we share we end up with something on the side, which is called a remainder.
