- private speech- used to regulate ones behavior.inner speech- talking to yourself/self-directed dialogue, thoughts
- next, scaffolding
- scaffolding- matching assistance to learner's needs
- zone of proximal development
- zone of proximal development- differences between what one can do alone or with assistance
- intersubjectivity
- intersubjectivity- participants begin a task with different understandings and arrive at a shared one.
- and finally, guided participation
- guided participation- assisting children as they perform adult-like activities.
