- During the 1935 election, many different political perspectives brought new propositions. R.B Bennett had promised a new deal which presented labor incentives for workers. However, as that plan was not executed in time, people had voted for Mackenzie King as he promised national unity instead of giving unreasonable assurances. King had put a complete abolishment to relief camps.

- Around 1939, WW2 had erupted in Canada and there was more focus upon jobs and labor unions, which aided economic growth. Millions of unemployed men were recruited into battalions and combat groups, which provided work opportunity. There was a dramatic increase in number of individuals with a white-collard job, and many people were employees of the public.

- During the war, women were given work opportunity to replace men who were in combat. Moreover, due to decline in marriages, there were more single unemployed women. However, they faced much injustice in the workplace regarding wages. Women organizations were assembled to protect women labor rights. Women had also served in war. The Canadian Women's Army Corps was a division of women who worked towards supporting women to perform at home and overseas for the war. Women were given opportunity to work clerical and technical jobs such as plane and weapon engineers.

- Workers organizations were formed to guide unemployed individuals who had not secured jobs during the Depression. They focused upon people skills and provided financial support. The Workers Unity League had secured many lumbers and miners. These organizations did not have a national effect or mitigate the recession, but gave a rise to the start of several acts which secured governmental aid for citizens.
- Due to loss in jobs, there was a decrease in funding and the government needed a plan to secure people financially. This led to the emerge of Unemployment Insurance. It was an initial step towards welfare. It supported workers in terms of illnesses, and family care. It led to more political and economic stability. Secondly, the Wheat Board Act had imposed a minimum cost for wheat which eased the selling process for farmers.
- It can be reflected through the consequences of these events that although the Great Depression is known to be one of the biggest downfalls in the country, it has led to many positive reforms. The Bank of Canada was established by R.B Bennett, and known to be in work today. Secondly, it marked an initial step to social welfare programs. Thirdly, it led to increase in women laborers in workplaces and equal opportunities for different races. Lastly, it reduced the capitalist system that was ruling before the Depression.
