I know this one! It’s Earth. It takes 365 days to revolve around the sun, it’s diameter is almost 8000 km, it is 149.6 million km from the sun and some interesting facts are that it’s the only liveable planet In our solar system at the moment, it has four seasons and it has one moon.
Woah! I’m in space. Can you tell me everything about it?
Of course I can! Let’s start off with Mercury.
This is Mars! It takes 23 Earth months to revolve around the sun, it’s diameter is 3389.5 km, it’s 227.9 million km from the sun and some interesting features of Mars are that it’s the last terrestrial planet and it’s the only planet humans can survive on ( with technology) besides Earth. It also has 2 moons.
It takes only 3 Earth months to revolve around the sun, it has a diameter of a little over 3000km, it is 57.9 million km from the sun. some interesting features of Mercury Are that it is EXTREMELY hot and that it is the smallest planet in our Solar System. It also has 0 moons!
Next up, our second gas giant. Saturn! It takes Saturn 29.5 Earth years to revolve around the sun, it’s diameter is 116 460 km, it is 1427 million km away from the sun and some interesting features are that it’s the second largest planet in our solar system and it’s rings are made up of ice and space debris. It has 82 moons, 53 confirmed and 29 provisional.
This is amazing!
Is this Venus?
This is Uranus. It takes 84 Earth years to revolve around the sun, it’s diameter is 50 724 km, it is 2 .871 million km from the sun and some interesting facts are the at it is a gas giant, when the challenger was exploring it, it blew up, killing the 7 astronauts on board.. it also has 27 moons.
Yep! Venus takes 7 Earth months to revolve around the sun, it has a diameter of 7 500 km, it is 108.2 million km away from the sun and some interesting features of Venus are that it was named after the Roman goddess of love, it’s similar to Earth in size and general structure and it only has 0 moons.
This is our last planet for today, Neptune. Neptune takes almost 165 Earth years to revolve around the sun, it’s diameter is 49 244 km, it is 4.497 million km from the sun and some interesting facts are that it is about 4 times wider than Earth, it has faint rings. It is an ice giant and that it has a short day but a very long year. It also has 14 moons.
That’s right!
Thank you for informing me about our Solar System! I better get back to Earth now.
Next up, Jupiter! It takes almost 12 Earth years to revolve around the sun, it has a diameter of 139 820 km, it is 778.3 million km away from the sun and some interesting features are that it’s the biggest planet in our Solar System and if it was 80 times bigger, it would be considered a sun! It also has 79 moons. 53 confirmed and 26 provisional
