  • Beware the Ides of March!
  • A soothsayer tells Caesar to beware March 15.
  • He is a dreamer. Let us leave him
  • Men are sometimes masters of their fates . The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars.
  • Cassius tries to convince Brutus to join the conspiracy against Caesar.
  • They saw men all in fire walk up and down the streets.
  • Calphurnia has terrible dreams about Caesar and pleads with him not to go to his crowning. However Decius comes and explains that the dream was a good sign, and convinces Caesar to come.
  • Casca tells Cicero about all of the bad omens he has seen.
  • But if these- as I am sure they do-bear fire enough to kindle cowards...
  • After agreeing to join them, Brutus and the conspirators discuss Caesar's assassination plans.
  • Dear my lord, make me acquainted with your cause of grief.
  • Portia, Brutus's wife, pleads with him to tell her what has been bothering him lately.
  • How foolish do your fears seem now, Calphurnia!
  • This dream is all amiss interpreted.
