- Odysseus set sale on the fleet of ships he had with all of his army sailing beside him.
- on the tenth year at war they tricked their way into troy and killed anyone got in their. Odysseus left with 12 ships but all his men were weary
- Odysseus and 12 of his men found land and started to explore they found a cave and went in it
- when they came to the city of Cicones they went ashore killing all the men and taking what was needed. it was a stupid and greedy attack but the sailors made it worse. They'd just finished fighting a long and fierce war and they wanted to rest and feast.
- Ignoring Odysseus they'd butchered sheep and cattle they'd captured and barbequed them on the beach. As they worked they opened barrels of whine and started drinking steadily. By the time night fell they were all incapable. They slumped down onto the sand and fell asleep by the dying fires.
- This was disastrously stupid. While they slept Ciclones were creeping around the hills gathering refoments at dawn a wild army came charging down looking for revenge. They killrd at least 70 men the rest of them escaped to the ships not being able to recue what was left of their comrades' bodies
- for nine days a storm howled making it impossible to sea the stars and navigate the waves but on the tenth day the storm finally cleared and they made it to land
- it looked completely uninhabited by any one so Odysseus told some of his men to see if they could get food and if there were people say it was a friendly visit and so the some men went out but by evening.
- the next morning Odysseus and three of his men went out to find the men and when they did the found the men laying the sunshine eating fruit with some other people when they were spotted the men said to come and that they shouldn't go back home and stay here but Odysseus took matters into his own hands and told the men he had with him to carry the other men to the ship
