- The Purpose of the meeting is to create a written Individualized Education Program for students who need special education services

- For the student to get the help she needs to succeed, an IEP is needed to be created in the meeting above. In the meeting, the individuals listed will discuss the student's academics and what extra component's she may need to stay on track, including goals, short-term objectives, Special Education and related services, Supplementary aids and services, and assistive technology.
- They also need to be very specific in terms of services given, when, and for how long!
- Once the student has a written IEP, they are on their way to academic success!
