- The guy had loved the old man, he had never wronged him,he did not want his gold. But, the old man had an eye of a vulture that would make the mans blood run cold so he decided to take the life of the old man and get rid of the eye himself forever.
- The eight night the guy was more cautious than usual when opening the door, the old man moved in bed suddenly but it was pitch dark so he was not able to see the guy at his door. The old man cried out who's there but the guy did not move for a full hour and the guy knew the old man was still sitting up in terror the whole time.
- The guy had convinced the officers with his manner but he started to feel pale and wished the officers to be gone. His head started to ache and he heard a ringing in his ear that increased. He became so paranoid that he thought that he could hear the old mans heartbeat and he was afraid that the officers would hear so he confessed to the murder.
