- Have you heard the news? The one about the wedding of Erin and Hendrix?
- I'm not sure as to what news about their wedding that you're pertaining to. But I've heard about their upcoming wedding. Weren't you also invited to that wedding?
- Yes, I got invited to their wedding. However, Hendrix's grandmother called the wedding off after they arrived at their ancestral house!
- Oh my! Are you sure about that? Why would Hendrix's grandmother call off the wedding? More importantly, where did you hear about such news?
- I was told by one of their close relatives. Hendrix's grandmother was against their wedding after knowing that Erin was not a pure-blooded Chinese! Hendrix's grandmother upholds their tradition wherein the oldest son can only marry a pure-blooded Chinese.
- According to them, she's not. She has Chinese blood, but she wasn't pure Chinese. That's why Hendrix's grandmother opposed their wedding.
- Erin was not a pure-blooded Chinese?
- I feel sad for Erin and Hendrix. I hope that they can work and settle it out. They looked so in love a week ago when I saw them at a restaurant.
