- I'M ROBERT HOOKE, I discovered the cell at first in 1665. The first cell was seen in a cork while the invention of the telescope made the cosmos accessible to human observation
- I am Theodor Schwann, a German biologist considered to be the founder of the Cell Theory. I also discovered pepsins, the first digestive enzyme prepared for animal tissue
- I'm Matthias Schleiden, a German botanist, I concluded that plant tissues are made of cells and that an embryonic plant grew from a single cell.
