- Way back in the winter of 1905, Frank Epperson went and played outside. He made a sugary drink and left it outside that night. That night, the temperature dropped below zero and it snowed. The next morning, Frank went outside to find that his popsicle had frozen with the stick inside! He named it Epsicle, but the name later changed to Popsicle when his kids called it Pop's' sicle!
