- The treaty of Versailles was too harsh. Now our economy is hyperinflated.
- The treaty of versailles forced Germany to pay reparations for all of the damage it caused and give back territory. This was detrimental to the German economy as it had borrowed money to fund the war and it now owed even more on top of that. Many Germans were upset about this agreement and left Germany as a whole dissatisfied.

- The treaty of Versailles also helped to dissolve Austria-Hungary at the end of WWI. In 1918 the empire dissolved in Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia among other states.

- After a widespread bank run in 1929 in the US, its stock market crashed and the economy went into what is known as the Great Depression. This had widespread implications in Europe since almost every European country was borrowing money from the US to pay for WWI. This caused economic crises in nations all around the world including Europe.
