- Lennie inside of the barn talking to the dead dog of why did he die now he is upset because he didnt mean to kill the poor liitle dog but he accideantly used to much force and killed the dog.
- I done a real bad thing I shouldn't have George will be mad.
- Lennie and Curleys wife and talking to each other then Curleys wife lets Lennie stroke her hair because Lennie likes to touch soft things.
- Will George be mad when he finds out? Will I still tend the rabbits
- Lennie strokes Curleys hair to the point where she had enogh but he doesnt let go and then covers her mouth and swings her around violently while she begins to scream for help hoping the men outside hear her.
- Look across the river Lennie.
- Im looking im looking George.
- Lennie swings Culeys wife around violently not knowing what he is doing, suddenly Lennie snaps Curleys wifes neck on accident then lays her down and knows George will be mad so he decides to run away and hide in the brushes.
- Lennie becomes nervous if George will be mad at him when he finds out so he starts talking to himself about the rabbits and if George will let Lennie tend the rabbits still.
- George found Lennie in the brush hiding from the men who found out about Curleys wife, then George tells Lennie to look across the river so he can shoot him because he knows there is no other way out for Lennie he is going to die either way.
