- Paul discovered that John Coffey didn't kill the Detterick twins, and has a meeting with his colleagues and wife to tell them that Wharton might have committed the murder of the twins.

- Paul and Brutal rehearse for the execution, and Paul feels guilty for killing a creation of God.

- While Paul was in Coffey's cell, John touched Paul. Paul noticed that he felt different, could see many details, and hear better.
- During the execution, Marjorie spat on the platform and insulted Coffey. Paul and Brutal allowed Coffey to not put the mask on, since he was afraid of the dark. The last thing Coffey saw before dying was Paul.
- Paul took Elaine to see the shed in the woods and saw Mr. Jingles. Brad Dolan interrupted them, meanwhile, Mr. Jingles died while running after the spool.
