- In Verona, Italy, there are two families, the Montagues, and the Capulets, who don't like each other and are enemies. Romeo and Benvolio, his cousin, were Montagues, and Juliet was a Capulet.

- Romeo then sneaks into the Capulets party, which there Romeo meets Juliet. Romeo and Juliet then fall in love with each other.
- Juliet is standing at her balcony, declaring her love for Romeo, while Romeo is listening. Romeo and Juliet then promise that they will love each other forever and then get married in secret.
- The nurse then knowns about the secret wedding and agrees to keep it a secret. Romeo and Juliet then gets married by Friar Laurence, who also knowns about the secret wedding.
- Mercutio gets stabbed by Tybalt, and Romeo seeks revenge and kills Tybalt. The Prince then banishes Romeo to Mantua.
