- How It All Sarted...
- It all started when my grandparents migrated into the United States back in the 1960s. My grandfather was born in Michoacan, Mexico. At the age of 9 he migrated to Tijuana, Mexico all alone, and lived there for a while. During this time he was working as a vendor selling food and anything he was able to resell. As he was doing that he was in the process of trying to get his visa to hopefully go to San Diego for better work.
- For his duration living in Tijuana he faced major challenges it was difficult to find employment due to the fact he didn't have a visa yet. Once he received his visa he was finally able to enter the U.S officially and eventually he managed to find a job where he picked fruits and veggies from crops and would travel all around San Diego to Los Angeles.
- My grandfather was able establish his visa and he saved money to go back to his home town with his Family in Michoacan, Mexico. Once he arrived he was able to help out his family with some extra money he saved up. In the time being he was in the process of helping his family move to Tijuana although this took some time. During this time was when he meet my grandmother, and shortly after they got married. After the marriage they made the decision to leave Michoacan and live in Tijuana.
- By the time they all moved to Tijuana my grandfather managed to buy a property there. In which my grandfather and his mother and siblings lived as well. They lived In Tijuana for quite some time. Soon after my grandfather began to start his own family, he then had two kids. Roughly after a couple years they had enough money to officially start their move to the United States and live a better life.
- Once my grandfather migrated to the United States some of his siblings decided to move to Los Angeles and his brother and himself stayed in San Diego CA. My grandparents then had a total of five kid's once they lived in San Diego. They were renting an apartment studio for the time being and soon after purchased their first home where they were able to raise their kids.
- Some time in the late 70s of my grandparents living in San Diego my grandfather and his brother had been saving money to open their very own Taco Shop. Its been their dream to own a restaurant. Ever since they were little kids its been their dream and goal to some day open their own Taco shop. It finally came true they purchased their very own Taco Shop in which they shared ownership and business was going very well for them. Unfortunately after 4 years it got closed down due to financial problems at the time. split the money in half.
- With that money from the Taco shop my grandparents opened their own taco shop in Santee, and business was doing well. Shortly after they purchased their second home in the suburbs and moved away from the city
- With much success he was able to own two different taco shops, as of now they are the most popular authentic Mexican restaurants. Knowing that through his struggles he was able to teach his grandkids his values so in the next generations to come they'll know how difficult it was to start from the beginning.
