- Earths layers
- The crust is the top layer and the thinnest layer. it is only 10 to 25 miles thick. it is the farthest away from the core of the earth. the crust is also the part of the earth that we live on.

- The mantle is the layer under the crust and above the outer core. it is the biggest layer and makes up 84% of the earths volume. it is around 1,800 miles thick.

- The outer core is under the mantle and above the core. it is thiker than the mantle. it is around 1,400 miles think. it is made up of liquid metals including iron and nickel.
- The inner core
- The inner core is the middle of the earth. it is around 760 miles thick. it is surrounded by the outer core it is thinner than the outer core and thicker than the crust. it is made up of solid metals including iron and nickel.
