- In 1973, Jane Roe Stood up for women rights. Sometimes women cant carry a baby, it puts them at health risks. So they have to abort it, so they have to send the baby back to the heavens

- The 1st, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 14th Amendment protects a women rights to privacy and being in charge of her own body.

- Roe was specifically challenging Texas because it had abortion to be completely illegal unless it was to save a mother's life. Texas believed that a fetus is a person and should be protected, while Roe believed in women rights to their own body and their own choices.
- There was a lot of Religious debate about whether life begians at birth or in a womans stomach
- "We do not agree that, by adopting one theory of life, that Texas may overlook the rights of pregnant women that are at risk"
- How ever we do not agree that the constitution gives and absolute right to an abortion. We will allow abortion however there will be some regulations
