Basil's Journey

- Basil was just an average peasant in the town of Cymantina where he lived a simple but humble life. He lived with only his mother to him his father was unknown.
- Until one day he was given a message by the God Hermes from his father Zeus saying that his destiny was within the walls of the far away kingdom of Syrymna with multiple trials along the way to prove his worthiness.
- Basil told his mother about the letter he had received earlier and explaining the contents that were in it. His mother told him that he was an actual son of Zeus and the quest was in the prophecy he had received.
- Basil left his hometown and headed on his journey to the kingdom at first the journey was a slow and lonely one but then down the road he ran into a water nymph named Phaedra who was calm and friendly. She had agreed to accompany him upon his quest.
- Along the path Phaedra and Basil were continuing to walk through the woods until they came up upon a beautiful red bird. As they were going to get closer the bird was engulfed in flames and a pile of ashes fell. The bird then again rose from its ashes and flew away however the birds ashes caused a red flower that resembled fire to emerge this flower is known as the Lucifer Canna Lily.
- The first trial Basil had to face was a cyclops so he went into the cave of the cyclops alone. The cyclops has stolen food from the villagers of a small village and terrorized their homes, and Basil was to return the food to the hungry people. He defeated the creature returned the food and went along with his quest.
