- Anaphase is a stage in cell division where chromosomes are pulled apart, ensuring each new cell gets a complete set. In soccer, players on opposing teams can be seen as somewhat like chromosomes, each with a specific role and purpose. During anaphase, there's a clear separation happening, similar to how players try to separate from their opponents to make a goal.
