- Nachash's (from Amones) army was coming to attack the little city of Yavesh Gilad. Yavesh Gilad was scared. Nachash said "If everyone gouges out their right eye (Torah), then we won't hurt you." Yavesh Gilad's elders said "Wait 7 days, we'll send messangers to the whole border, and if there is no one who will protect us, then we'll surrender."
