- The Seven Years' War was a conflict between France and Great Britain that began in 1754 as a dispute over North American land. The consequences were that Great Britain gained a lot of American land, but disputes over subsequent frontier policy and paying the war's expenses led to colonial discontent, and ultimately to the American Revolution. Since the British attempts to impose taxes on colonists to help cover these expenses resulted in increasing colonial resentment.

- The Proclamation of 1763 was a British-produced boundary marked in the Appalachian Mountains at the Eastern Continental Divide. This prohibited colonist from settling there. The consequence from this was this didn't allow west expansion. Most of the colonist were furious about the proclamation, but they simply crossed it anyways.

- The Stamp Act
- No taxation without representation!
- The Stamp act required the colonists to pay a tax, represented by a stamp, on various forms of papers, documents, and playing cards. It was a direct tax imposed by the British government without the approval of the colonial legislatures. This caused violent protest with people yelling,"NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!" Many Colonist disagreed with the stamp act too.
