Текст на Статията

  • Good morning class, today we will be learning about the Bermuda Triangle, a mysterious region of the South Atlantic Ocean, were over 50 ships and 20 planes have gone missing
  • The legend begun following the flight failure in 1945 five U.S Navy planes and 14 men went missing during routine training exercises. The flight's leader, Lieutenant Charles Taylor, was heard of the radio saying, "We are entering white water, nothing seems right. We don’t know where we are, the water is green, no white."
  • In an issue of 'Pulp Magasine' published in 1964, by Vincent H. Gaddis, the phrase 'Bermuda Triangle' was first used. This article is what really kick started the theories and interest. (Note that the Pulp Magasines were FICTION)
  • Based on almost no evidence, some theorists believe that the Lost City of Atlantis sunk in the Bermuda Triangle, and there are magical gems that anchor the city, of which the energy overpowers the boats and planes, causing them to crash.
  • Based on evidence gathered by scientists, majority of people believe that the reason for the mysterious disappearances is that the conditions are simply dangerous. There have been hexagonal clouds over the Bermuda Triangle, which cause very dangerous waves and winds
  • Another theory based on scientific evidence is the Magnetic Field theory. NASA have discovered that in the region of the Bermuda Triangle, true north and magnetic North colide, which may cause false compass readings. Additionally, this may also cause disruptions in machinery and radios, as well as balls of lightning!
