  • Visiting the Farm with Amanda and Harrisonby Amanda Reese
  • I live in Serenbe which is a little town that has a focus on nature and we have a petting zoo!
  • SERENBE Petting Zoo
  • Hi guys! Today Harrison and I are going to show you some farm animals!
  • This is one of Serenbe's Donkeys! Did you know that Donkeys have really good hearing?
  • Their large ears also help them to cool off, I'm not sure why though...
  • They use their ears to fan themselves and it helps with their heat circulation!
  • Kristen Jackson
  • Oh Amanda! I can help answer that!
  • Thank you Ms.Jackson! Look, we are all learning new facts about animals today!
  • Hey! Does anyone know how long donkeys live?
  • Horizons Student
  • 200 years???
  • And Oh No! This goat got out and is chasing me! Why don't we see what Harrison is up to now?
  • No quite, Donkeys live for about 25-30 years!
  • Harrison
  • Hi Guys! Welcome to my Farm!!!
  • These are my Horses!
  • Did you guys know that a boy horse is called a Stallion and a girl horse is called a Mare?
  • Now that you guys have met my horses and we have pet them, we are going to go tie-dye my miniature horse!!!
  • Harrison
  • This is my miniature horse! Today we are going to use horse safe dye and tie-dye him yellow, pink, and blue!
  • Harrison
  • SERENBE Petting Zoo
  • I love your tie-dyed horse Harrison! That's so cool!
  • Now we are going to visit with Serenbe's Goats! Let's go!
  • Serenbe has lots of goats! One of them is named Oreo and he likes to bites shirts... isn't that funny!
  • Did you guys know that goats live for about the same length of dogs? they live for about 15-18 years!
  • Oh and my favorite fact about goats! Did you know they have four stomachs?!?!
  • Okay... does anyone know what a baby goat is called?
  • Horizons Student
  • It's called a kid!
  • That's right! I think it's so funny that baby goats and baby people are called the same thing!
  • Alright now Harrison is going to show you his chickens!
  • Hi guys! This is my chicken coop!
  • Did you guys know that there are more chickens on earth than humans?
  • Harrison
  • This is one of our hens. She is laying eggs that we eat for breakfast.
  • Here is something fun to think about, what do you think came first... the chicken or the egg?
  • Harrison
  • While you think about that, I am going to feed the chickens!
  • By the way, it was the egg that came first
  • Harrison
  • SERENBE
  • This is Serenbe's duck crossing! The ducks, geese, and swans all love to swim here!
  • Did you know that ducks, geese, and swans are all related!
  • Duck Crossing
  • Does anyone know what a boy, girl, or baby duck is called?
  • Duck Crossing
  • Horizons Student
  • I know a baby duck is called a duckling, but what is a girl and a boy duck called?
  • Yes! That is right, a baby duck is a duckling, a girl duck is called a hen, and a boy duck is called a drake!
  • Ok now while I go back to the petting zoo, Harrison is going to show you his pigs!
  • Duck Crossing
  • Hi guys! These are my pigs! Did you know that pigs are actually really smart animals?!?!
  • Harrison
  • Harrison
  • Pigs like to be in the mud to cool off from the heat.
  • This makes them super dirty, so today we are going to give them a bath to clean them.
  • Harrison
  • Giving the pigs a bath was hard because they always try to run away!
  • Did you know that their snouts help them to smell really well?!?!? Alright, thank you so much for coming to the farm with me! Bye!
  • SERENBE Petting Zoo
  • These are the last animals we will be visiting, they are Serenbe's Sheep!!! Did you know that there are over 1 billion sheep in the world?!?!?
  • We are with a group of sheep right now, groups of sheep are called herds, flocks, or mobs.
  • Since it is summer, the sheep are sheered, meaning they are not super fluffy. This helps to keep them cool in the hot weather!
  • As you can see, these sheep are eating a lot of grass. that is because they are vegetarians!
  • Thank you guys so much! I have had so much fun teaching you guys about these animals!!!!
