Today I am explaining how I am molecularly connected to Robert Downey Jr.
The first way is through photosynthesis. This tree here releases oxygen. I breath in the oxygen and release carbon dioxide for the tree to take in. Using this carbon dioxide, water, and light energy that was previously absorbed, it creates glucose using chloroplasts. The tree also releases more oxygen that is then taken in by Robert Downey Jr.
The second way is through cellular respiration. Cellular respiration takes place in the mitochondria. Cellular respiration is basically the opposite of photosynthesis. It uses glucose and oxygen to make carbon dioxide, water, and ATP as well. This process as well as photosynthesis repeats in an on going cycle. The oxygen that is produced from photosynthesis is needed for human life.
The third and final way is fermentation. Fermentation is the production of energy from carbs without using oxygen. There are three types of fermentation. Lactic acid, ethanol/alcohol, and acetic fermentation. I am going to be focusing on Lactic acid fermentation.
Lactic acid fermentation uses glucose to create cellular energy. This glucose was produced from photosynthesis making fermentation a part of the cycle. The glucose used for fermentation used oxygen from both me and Robert Downey Jr.
Photosynthesis, cellular respiration, and fermentation are all essential for life. They help the cell function and produce energy for the cell to use. This is how me and Robert Downey Jr are molecularly connected.
