Our rule over India is weakening what should we do?
Strong feelings of nationalismbegan to grow inIndia after WW1 because they wanted to gain theirindependence.

The British wanted to remain in power so they put the Rowlatt Acts into action which prohibited any protests or revolution.
After the Amritsar Massacre over 4oo Indians were dead. India decided they needed a new, nonviolent way to fight the injustice. Mahatma Gandhi led this new revolution.

There are many ways we can protest without violence.
Gandhi started boycotting British rule by refusing to buy their goods and refusing to vote. This launched his campaign of civil disobedience.
We can make our own salt by collecting seawater and letting it evaporate.
ofThe laws of the British were outrageous such as you could buy salt only from the government. So Gandhi and his followers walked about 240 miles to protest. This is called the Salt March.

Finally in 1935 India gained self-rule although it was limited. A revolution like this began to spur in Southwest Asia and nationalism became apparent there too for freedom.
